Overall, this painting is very interesting. Usually if I saw a drawing of just any old backpack, I wouldn't care. But with the details you added to the backpack, it makes the piece more attractive. Also, the fact that you added a little bit of background for this particular bag in your description makes it more appealing. You gave your audience a beginning to a story they can make the rest for themselves.
I don't dislike this piece so is hard for me to criticize it. I love the colors and the little patches on the backpack. I can certainly understand that this belonged to a child (mostly because of the duck patch, I love that most actually. Very cute addition).
So, since I can't find anything particularly wrong with this work of art, I can only give you suggestions of things you could've done to make this piece more vibrant. I think it would've been interesting if you maybe had some toys sticking out of the bag, just to add to the story behind the main object. Maybe a ragdoll's arm or head? A teddy bear's nose, perhaps? That would be cool. Also, you could've made the bag look a bit older and worn because it's been on so many adventures and has probably been tossed around quite a bit. Also, I think you could've added more creases in the backpack because it looks like it's holding textbooks or something of that nature. Make the bag look like it belongs to a child and put things in the bag that a child would have.
Anyway, this is just what I have to say. Don't take it as me hating on your art. A critique is supposed to have some constructive criticism behind it that I'm putting in some to help you become a better artist. I hope I helped a little bit, I'm never sure!
